Position: Vice President of Neuroscience Programs

. . . There is a better way to provide health care. . . Aurora Health Care is Wisconsin’s largest not-for-profit health care organization, striving to give people better access, better service and better results than they can find anywhere else. The more than 30,000 people of Aurora are determined not only to provide services of the highest quality, but also to make those services affordable and accessible to every person in every community it serves. As it has done with the specialty areas of Cancer, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Women’s Health, Aurora is now developing system-wide clinical program status for the neurosciences. The Vice President of Neuroscience Programs is a new role, created to give neuroscience a special focus as an important center of excellence. The Vice President of Neuroscience Programs will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative direction and oversight to all neuroscience programs of Aurora Health Care, ensuring effective communication, program planning, and enhancement to the programs, and serving as the primary administrative/medical staff liaison to ensure cost effective, high quality, comprehensive neuroscience services. The VPNP reports to Senior Physician Leadership in charge of System Clinical Programs. The VPNP also works in collaboration with Aurora’s other physician and executive leaders. Reporting to the VPNP will be the Medical Director of Neurology, Medical Director of Neurosurgery, and others to be determined. Essential functions of the VPNP include: Strategic Planning and Operations; Liaison and Partnerships; Quality of Care; and Patient Care and Research.
