The search for Chief Medical Officer of Aurora Health Care – South Market has
reopened. The South Market consists of three award-winning hospitals.
•Work within Aurora Health Care, Wisconsin’s largest not-for-profit health care
organization and winner of numerous prestigious awards and recognition.
•Be the first CMO for a regional position in the Aurora Health Care system.
Participate in strategic planning for the three medical centers in this newly
established region. Help develop strategy and models for health system
physician relationships for the future of the three medical centers.
•Assist the three Medical Staff organizations to function effectively and to
achieve their short and long term objectives.
•As a member of the Aurora system-wide Physician Leadership Council, enjoy the
support and knowledge of other proven leaders.
The ideal candidate will have:
•A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an
accredited school of medicine, board certification in an approved ABMS or AOA
specialty board, and have or be able to obtain a current license to practice
medicine in the State of Wisconsin.
•A minimum of ten years experience both as a practicing physician and as a
physician leader who has had progressively responsible leadership experience
that would include experiences in coordinating medical staff, performance
improvement and quality programs.
This is not an entry level role; candidates must have demonstrated medical
