Position: Chief of Gastroenterology

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is a 179-bed primary and tertiary care 
hospital that is affiliated with Drexel University School of Medicine and 
Temple University School of Medicine, all located in the greater Philadelphia 
area.  It has a long and respected tradition of providing high quality care to 
the community.  It is the oldest full service hospital in the United States 
totally dedicated to the care of children.

In the past several years a resurgence of the hospital’s place in the medical 
community and its leadership for growth of services to its patients has 
occurred.  The key administrative and clinical leadership team has improved.  
Its vision for the future is exciting and the hospital has seen significant 
progress with market share and recognition which points to continued growth in 
the future.

Part of the hospital’s strategy is to solidify its clinical leadership and to 
increase the capabilities of all clinical departments.  At this juncture, 
candidates are being sought to lead the section of Gastroenterology.

This is an opportunity for an experienced clinician to assume a strong role in 
the evaluation, modification and growth of clinical services.  It is a place 
for a physician who enjoys his/her specialty area and has a vision to improve 
and grow a section of excellence within the organization.
