a slate of qualified executives for you to consider for the
available position. Each of these physicians will be interested
in your position, your organization and certainly willing to
consider a relocation to your area.
The steps from this point onward
may be the most critical in the recruitment process. The objective
is to present your organization, its personnel and your community
in the best possible light. You should be attempting to further
interest these physicians in joining your organization.
The rule by which you should operate
in conducting your interviews and other contacts with candidates
is a simple one: treat everyone with a high level of personal
and professional courtesy and respect. These physicians will
be your guests and should be accorded every consideration
to make sure their time with you is worthwhile and productive.
You are inviting them to visit to consider joining your organization,
so it is up to you to be a gracious host. It is not enough
to just set up interviews and make hotel arrangements. Good
recruiting requires a concerted effort to win the candidates
over while evaluating their potential to do well in the position.
